31st ANNUAL SOUND RUNNER MADISON TURKEY TROT DEDICATED TO EVENT DIRECTOR AND FRIEND DAVE PARCELLS Dave Parcells, two-term Madison Jaycee President passed away suddenly in April of 2007. Dave was a loving and extremely involved father to his two children, a tremendous leader, fundraiser, and an inspiration to everyone he met. He was also the oldest person to swim an English Channel double-crossing, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit local charities. Dave touched and inspired the lives of everyone he knew, and will be deeply missed In 1979 when this event began there were 22 participants. Now 31 years later we have exceeded 3,000 participants making us one of the largest road races in the State. > It's easy to see why. A beautiful flat looping course all within the grounds of Hammonassett Beach State Park. Be prepared to run your fastest 5 mile race of the year. Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,000 pre-registered runners and walkers, great post race party and refreshments, Separate run and walk courses, Certified Course and ChampionChip timing. All net proceeds go to various charities in the local area.

THE RACE DATE/TIME:
Thursday, November 26, 2009.
Both Walk and Run start at 10 am at Hammonassett Beach State Park.
THE RACE COURSE:
The run and walk will once again start from the West Beach area of the park. Please refer to the course maps on this web site. Very Flat 5 mile run course throughout the grounds of Hammonassett. 2 mile Family Fitness walk held at the same time on separate course.
ENTRY FEES:
$18 until November 23rd, $22 thereafter
If you own your own ChampionChip timing device, you may deduct $1 from above fees.

PACKET PICK-UP:
Packet pick-up will also be available at Sound Runner in Madison (762 Boston Post Road) on Tuesday and Wednesday, so stop in and avoid the lines on Race Day! Call 203-318-8190 for more details.
DIRECTIONS:
I-95 to Exit 62. Follow signs for Hammonassett Beach State Park. Park is 1 mile south of Exit 62.
